Community College Opportunity Grant

New Jersey’s new Community College Opportunity Grant provides “free tuition” for those who qualify.

This funding will be awarded after all other federal, state or institutional aid. (Funds will be deposited directly to the college.)

Do You Qualify?

Eligibility Requirements

  • Have a total household adjusted gross income not exceeding $45,000
  • Not have a prior college degree
  • Must be a Gloucester County resident
  • Apply for Federal and State Aid at fafsa.gov or the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid application for NJ Dreamers
  • Enroll for at least 6 course credits (typically two classes) in Spring 2019

  1. Apply for financial aid at fafsa.gov
    RCGC School Code: 006901
  2. Complete your free RCGC admission application at RCGC.edu/apply
  3. Create a profile at njfams.hesaa.org to file required State information
  4. Meet with an advisor and register for classes
  5. Your financial aid award letter will tell you if you qualify for “free tuition” under the Community College Opportunity Grant
