What is the Placement Test?

The placement test is taken after admission to the College but prior to course registration. Test results determine course placement.

Students are tested in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics: pre-algebra and elementary algebra.
May I be Exempt From Taking the Placement Test?
Students who have achieved the required test scores on the SAT®, ACT Composite or PARCC may qualify for an exemption from portions of the College Placement Test. Students should supply the Office of Admissions with a copy of qualifying exemption scores.
