Academic Testing

​​​​The Academic Testing Center at Rowan College provides two​​ services for students  makeup tests for those who missed a test in class and online testing for students needing to take their tests for an online instructor.​

If your instructor permits a makeup test, you need to do the following:

  1. Make arrangements with your instructor to take the test.

  2. Come to the Testing Center and provide the following:

    1. A photo ID

    2. Your instructor’s name

    3. Test name

What is Academic Makeup Testing?

The Rowan College Testing Center provides makeup testing for students who miss a test in class.

 

How do I make up a test?

Students must ask their instructor whether he or she will allow the student to make up the test. Instructors will bring the test to the Testing Center.

 

When may I take the test?

Students may drop in during our operating hours to make up the test.* 
Our hours are:

  •  Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  •  Tuesday and Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

* Hours subject to change due to college events and holidays.
* Last tests will be administered 2 hours prior to closing.
*Tests will be handed out as long as two hours before closing.

 

What do I need to take the test?​

  1. A photo ID

  2. No cell phone

  3. Name of the instructor

  4. Name of the test

  5. Any materials allowed for the test. Calculator, note cards, etc.

 

When do I receive my test results?

Once you have taken a test, check with your instructor for your results.

 

Online Testing FAQs​​

What is online testing?

Certain instructors of online classes require their students to take their tests in the Testing Center.

 

How do I know whether I need to take a test in the Testing Center?

These instructors inform their students in their syllabus of this requirement.
