Priority Admissions Program

Designed to help students in their senior year transition from high school to Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC), the Priority Admissions Program provides added support to enroll in college with ease.

  • Assistance with Application process
    Individual appointments at high schools and college with completing application. To help take the stress out of the application process, transcripts are sent automatically from your high school to RCGC.

  • Placement Testing
    Students who need to take the College's placement exam, the Accuplacer, for the first time are encrouage to speak with their guidance office to see if any testing initiative are planned. The Accuplacer is FREE the first time it is taken.  

  • Priority Registration
    Obtain individualized advisement and register for classes before incoming freshmen at various registration events.

  • Financial Aid and Scholarship Opportunities
    Although RCGC provides one of the best values in education today, there are many sources of additional funding to make your education even more affordable, including scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors.

  • Transfer Pathways
    Bachelor’s degree completion and transfer opportunities to Rowan University, RCGC’s premier partner, or institution of choice.

How to Get Started:

Ready to take your next step to becoming a Priority Admissions student?  Follow these five easy steps to success!

  1. Apply for Admission

    Click here to apply for admission, it's FREE!  Under "application type," please select "High School Priority Admission."

  2. Apply for Financial Aid
    For more information on how to apply, please click here or call 856-415-2210. RCGC’s school code is 006901.

  3. Satisfy Accuplacer Requirements
    Prior to registering for classes, all incoming students must take the Accuplacer test or provide proof of exemption. Check with your guidance counselor regarding any testing initiatives that the high school has planned with RCGC.  Students can schedule an appointment to take the Accuplacer at RCGC by calling the Testing Center at 856-415-2268 or clicking here.  For more information about the Accuplacer, including exemption criteria and study resources, please click here.

  4. Meet with an Academic Advisor and Register for Classes

    More information on how to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor will be available after you apply for admission and satisfy Accuplacer requirements.

  5. Pay Your Fall Semester Bill

    When you register for classes, a bill is generated. 

  • Payment options include:
    Financial Aid: If your financial aid is incomplete by the payment due date, please contact the Business Office at 856-415-2226 or click here for further options.
  • Setting up a payment plan or paying for classes in full via your RCGC portal account.
  • Submitting payment at the Business Office in person or by phone.

Note: If you register after the payment due date, then payment of some form will be due at the time of registration to secure your classes.
