Thanksgiving-baskets.jpg Deptford Twp. – On Monday, Nov. 23, The Center for People in Transition organized a bountiful harvest of decorated baskets and festive bags filled with Thanksgiving food for families in need in a corner of the Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) employee parking lot. The 29 baskets and bags of food, generously donated by the Covenant Messiah Church in Sewell, will feed 80 adults and children this Thanksgiving holiday. The food baskets, prepared under the guidance of Thanksgiving Basket Outreach Coordinator Linda Kilpatrick, Pastor Debra Groller and the church community, were distributed to RCGC students and clients of The Center for People in Transition. For the upcoming Christmas season, Covenant Messiah Church will be donating pajamas, sweatpants and socks for those in need.
