The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders appointed Deptford resident Ruby Love to serve a four-year term on the Gloucester County College Board of Trustees. Love was approved and sworn in during the Thursday, Jan. 9 meeting.
A renowned health care professional, Love brings more than 30 years of leadership expertise to GCC. She has managed the surgical service areas of the post-anesthesia care, same day surgery and short procedures units as well as provided nursing supervision at several South Jersey and Philadelphia-based medical networks. She now presides as the coordinator of nursing staffing pools at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
Love possesses a diverse education, having earned her Ph.D. in Health and Public Policy in 2009 from the University of the Sciences and Master of Business Administration in 2004 from Eastern University. She also obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Graceland University in addition to a Diploma in Nursing and liberal arts associate degree at Camden County College.
The College's 11-member Board of Trustees is led by Gene J. Concordia, chairperson, Yolette C. Ross, vice chairperson, Douglas J. Wills, Esq., treasurer, and Jean L. DuBois, secretary.
GCC's 250-acre campus is located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Sewell, right off Exit 56 of Route 55.
