RCGC AND KELLOGG’S WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE JOBS ACCESSIBLE
Deptford Twp. – On Tuesday Oct. 6, approximately 100 unemployed individuals attended a Kellogg’s training and hiring information session at Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC). The session was hosted by RCGC, the State of NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Kellogg’s and the NJ Community College Consortium.
Through a state Ready to Work grant, long-term unemployed individuals were invited to interview and train for positions with Kellogg’s. Kellogg’s, located in Blue Anchor, provided staff to conduct one-on-one interviews with the objective to hire and train new employees to help expand its candidate base. RCGC will provide the training courses.
During the information session, attendees learned about the new full-time, 150-hour training program being offered at RCGC. There is no cost to individuals selected to participate in the program that trains new hires in workplace safety, food safety, maintenance and manufacturing processes.
Rowan College at Gloucester County is located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Deptford, just off Exit 56 of Route 55.
