Deptford Twp. – Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) hosted an Open House for prospective health-care students and their families in the College’s new Nursing and Allied Health Center on Thursday, Oct. 22.
Guests met with program instructors and current students to learn more about programs in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine Technology, Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Representatives from admissions, financial aid, counseling and advising were also available to assist and answer questions. Application fees were waived for individuals who registered during the open house.
RCGC’s new $11.4 million Nursing and Allied Health Center houses a 3,474 square-foot lecture hall, 16 classrooms for nursing, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, physical therapy assistant (PTA) and phlebotomy in addition to simulation, computer and computer testing classrooms, work areas, a conference room and administrative offices for RCGC and Rowan University faculty and staff. RCGC students will now be able to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with premier partner Rowan University without leaving the campus.
