Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) will host its annual Spring Open House on Thursday, March 5, in the Physical Education Center giving prospective students and their parents a chance to tour the campus and become familiar with the College’s academic divisions, athletics and student services. Visitors will also have a chance to meet the RCGC faculty and staff during the event, who will be available to answer questions and provide valuable program and financial aid information.
"The Open House is a great way for prospective students to learn about RCGC and all they have to offer,” said Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert Damminger. “We are gearing up to open many new buildings this year including the new Nursing and Allied Health Center. It is a great way to get a feel for the campus.”
“RCGC is an exceptional value,” added Freeholder Liaison to Education Lyman Barnes. “One of the many benefits of attending RCGC is that students receive a high-quality education without facing mountains of student debt after completing their associate degree. In addition, the RCGC/Rowan University partnership, as well as the many other transfer agreements, offered by RCGC make the process of transferring to a four-year university seamless.”
Also included in the Spring Open House will be an exclusive information session on the NJ STARS program, which takes place at 6 p.m. in the College Center mezzanine. The session will illuminate the finer points of the scholarship program for New Jersey high school students graduating in the top 15 percent of their class.
Campus tours, including information about ongoing construction projects, will take place every half hour between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., allowing visitors a first-hand look at the current state-of-the-art facilities, and give an idea of the immediate future of RCGC.
The Spring 2015 Open House will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run to 8 p.m. For more information on the event, call 856-681-6248 and visit RCGC.edu/OpenHouse.
