Artists at least "60 years young" are invited to participate in the 48th annual Gloucester County Juried Senior Art Show. Submissions will be accepted Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10 at Rowan College at Gloucester County (formerly Gloucester County College).

The art show's reception will take place on Wednesday, June 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. The contest allows individuals to submit up to two original pieces of artwork that have been completed in the last three years. Two separate competitions will take place based on professional and non-professional ability.

First place winners will receive a cash prize and their entry will be automatically entered into the annual New Jersey Senior Juried Art Show in October. The winners will compete against seniors from all 21 counties at Meadow Lakes, a Spring Port Community in East Windsor, NJ.

Winners will be named in the following categories: acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, drawing, mixed media, pastel, digital imagery, photography, printmaking, sculpture and craft—one-of-a-kind creations.

The competition is free and open to all Gloucester County residents. For eligibility information or to register, contact Senior Corps at 856-468-1742.

The show, sponsored in part by the Gloucester County Division of Senior Services and the Senior Corps and Community Service, will run until Tuesday, July 22.

Rowan College at Gloucester County (formerly Gloucester County College) is located on a 250-acre campus on Tanyard Road, Deptford, just off Exit 56 of Route 55.
