The Gloucester County College Division of Continuing Education will host an information session for its Certified Production Technician program Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m.
Today's advanced manufacturing industry requires a skilled and talented workforce. This six-week Production Technician program at GCC prepares students for the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council examination, the certifying credential needed to obtain an entry-level position in the profession.
Coursework provides instruction in the areas of safety; quality practices and measurement; manufacturing processes and production; maintenance awareness and green production. Students will engage in hands-on learning to master manufacturing processes and test preparation skills in both the classroom and at on-site locations.
The Certified Production Technician course begins March 3. Classes run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Financial aid assistance is available for individuals who have been unemployed for more than 26 weeks.
