Free Adult Basic Education Classes Offered At RCGC

​The Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) Division of Continuing Education is providing free basic education daytime and evening sessions for adult learners.

The High School Equivalency program enables Gloucester County residents to take the coursework recommended to prepare for the required examination to earn their high school diploma. The course covers mathematics and language arts with a focus on computer literacy. Career planning and college readiness workshops are also available to interested High School Equivalency program students.

Daytime sessions are held Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and run from Monday, September 18 through Thursday, December 21. Abbreviated evening sessions are also offered Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Evening classes begin on Monday, September 18 and continue until Thursday, December 21. All classes are held in the Business and Corporate Center on RCGC's campus.

The classes are free to attend. Applicants must register in person at the Workforce & Professional Development Institute no later than Friday, September 1 for evening sessions or Friday, September 8 for daytime sessions. For more information, call 856-468-5000, ext. 6227, or visit
