Deptford Twp. – Kellogg's and the Division of Continuing Education at Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) will hold a training and hiring information session on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. in the Business and Corporate Center for individuals interested in full-time employment as certified production technicians. The session is being hosted by RCGC, the State of N.J. Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Kellogg's and the N.J. Community College Consortium.
Through a federal Ready to Work grant, long-term unemployed individuals will be invited to interview and train for positions with the Kellogg Company. Kellogg's, located in Blue Anchor, will be on site to conduct one-on-one interviews with the objective to hire and train new employees to help expand its candidate base. RCGC will provide the training courses. During the information session, attendees will learn about the eligibility requirements and the 150-hour training program being offered at the College. There is no cost to individuals selected to participate in the program. Training classes will include workplace safety, food safety, maintenance and manufacturing processes.
