Date: 8/14/2015

On Tuesday, Sept. 1, Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) kicks off the 2015-2016 academic year with its All College Day event welcoming new and returning students with important information, tours, food and fun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students new to the campus will be welcomed by RCGC's President Frederick Keating at 10 a.m. in the Physical Education Center. Award-winning motivational speaker, author, philanthropist, personal coach, ultra-marathon runner and founder of the Front Row Foundation, Jon Vroman, will be the guest speaker, offering inspiring insight into the importance of cultivating strong interpersonal relationships and building a sense of community. Vroman's philosophy to "live life in the front row" encourages students to actively take charge of their own life.

Academic division breakout sessions will conclude the orientation segment with RCGC deans, professors, faculty and advisors providing information to help promote student success.

"All College Day supports RCGC's ultimate goal to offer students the uniqueness of attending a two-year college with all of the excitement that comes with a four-year college experience," said Diane Hare of Student Life.

Returning college students should arrive on campus at 11 a.m. to meet in the University Center for a general session offering guidance and direction on completing academic goals and exploring career and transfer opportunities.

Refreshments and entertainment will be provided during the activities segment of the event beginning at 12 p.m., giving students the opportunity to enjoy campus tours, obtain student ID cards and parking permits.

Pre-registration for the All College Day event is required. Visit for information and to register.
