10 Years of KotoriCon
"The Little Con with the Big Heart" turns 10
It feels like yesterday that the doors opened on Gloucester County College Anime Convention, a small one-day event held on a snowy Saturday in January 2010, with only a handful of vendors and panels to entertain roughly 250-350 attendees that came out for the event. The GCC Anime Club had no idea how far their little con would go, and how much it would grow.
Now the Japanese Anime Guild+ at Rowan College at Gloucester County hosts KotoriCon, a day-and-a-half Convention that has raised over $40,000 for charities spanning the globe. Recognized by the International Otaku Expo Association. alongside anime convention giants like Anime Expo and Otakon, we are featured in a catalog that is housed in Japanese Embassies in over 70 countries.
KotoriCon would like to thank everyone who helped to make this possible for these 10 amazing years. We love our VIP Guests who have fun with us while supporting our cause. We appreciate our Vendors bringing some of the coolest stuff to sell. Our amazing Artists floor us every year with the works they create, and the goods they craft. Our Volunteers, with their hard work and dedication are the reason we've come this far.
Finally we thank our attendees, whose smiling faces make every year worth it. Thank you for all of your support for these years, so together lets celebrate this January at KotoriCon 2019.
