Rowan College at Gloucester County

Special Filing Circumstances

The RCGC Office of Financial Aid recognizes that a student's situation is unique, and sometimes personal circumstances might influence the application process. The College offers three types of appeals to assist students in securing their aid or reinstating their eligibility. Students must complete the FAFSA and verification process before submitting an appeal.

  • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal
Students who lost their Title IV aid may regain eligibility by explaining the circumstances that negatively impacted their academic performance. Learn more.

  • Special Conditions Appeal
Students and families who are experiencing economic hardship may apply for a reduction of income. Economic hardships can range from involuntary job loss to the death of an income provider. Learn more.

  • Dependency Override
Dependent students who fit certain criteria may appeal to earn independent status. Learn more.
