Rowan College at Gloucester County


Interested students who meet the prequalification requirements will be scheduled for an interview. The interview will be conducted by the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Recruiter, who will assess whether the student is a candidate for the program, and the Financial Aid Office will determine whether the student is financially eligible to participate. Because space is limited for the program, interested students are advised to complete an EOF application as soon as possible.

The EOF provides a maximum grant award of $1,150 for the academic year ($575/semester).

Prequalification Requirements:

To prequalify for this program, a student must: 

  • Be a New Jersey resident for 12 consecutive months

  • Meet the EOF Income Guidelines ​​

  • Possess a high school diploma or High School Equivalency certificate

  • Be a first-generation college student

  • Demonstrate the need for academic support and/or basic skills courses

  • Register for at least 12 credits per semester (full time)

  • Enroll in a degree or certificate program that is at least one academic year in duration and requires a minimum 
    of 24 credits

Process for New EOF Applicants Transferring to Rowan College:

EOF applicants transferring to Rowan College:

  • Must supply an academic transcript from each college previously attended

  • Must not be in default of a student loan and must not owe a financial aid grant to the state or federal government

  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average

  • Must submit a completed EOF Transfer-In Form with a copy of an unofficial transcript from the  previously-attended institution
