Freshman guard Tierah Bush (Woodrow Wilson) scored a team-high 15 points, including nine in the second half, but it wasn't enough as the RCGC women's basketball squad lost a tough 62-56 decision to visiting Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) in Saturday afternoon action.
The Roadrunners received double-digit outings from three other players – sophomore guard Raquel Harris-Scott (Overbrook) finished with 13, freshman guard Jaida Davis (Winslow) dropped in 12, and sophomore guard Alyvia Essex (Atlantic City) had 10.

The Barons held a slim 38-37 advantage midway through the third period before squashing a rally by the Roadrunners the remainder of the way. Rowan-Burlington held a 33-27 halftime lead, and was paced by freshman guard Ayanna Lewis, who netted 16 points. (Story continues below)
Coach Rich Cooper's Runners dropped to 5-3 overall, suffering their third straight defeat following a fast 5-0 start. RCGC will next host Middlesex County College on Thursday afternoon in a Region XIX contest in a 5 pm start.
