Register for Classes

Obtain Rowan College Username and Password

The Information Center in the Student Services Building can provide a student's username and password for course registration.
Necessary items to obtain a username and password: valid photo ID (driver's license, high school ID or Rowan College student ID)
The Information Center also provides direction on obtaining registration PIN numbers, which can be obtained only from advisors. Students will need registration PIN numbers for course registration.

Meet with an Advisor

Students should schedule an appointment with their advisors once the semester begins. They need to meet with an advisor to:

  1. Complete an Advisement Form. Advisors help students select courses for the coming semester. Advisement forms are available at the Information Center.
  2. Review Placement Test Results. Although this is not mandatory, students should bring their placement test results with them when they meet with an advisor.
  3. Obtain a Registration PIN Number. Advisors provide the PIN number students will need to register for classes.
Necessary documents for meeting: valid photo ID (see above)

Register for Classes during Open Registration

Dates and times for new students attending Open Registration in the Student Services Building are available here.
Necessary items for registration: valid photo ID (see above), Rowan College username and password from the Information Center, registration PIN number from an advisor
Recommended additional items: SAT scores, college transcripts if student attended another college, additional relevant documents and a pen
After registering for classes, students will be able to print their schedules and registration fee assessments (tuition and fees bills).

Confirm Method of Payment

After registration, students will need to pay their bills for classes by the applicable payment due date. If they are registering after the payment due date, they must pay in full or enroll in the payment plan on the day they register.
The following are important reminders:

  • Rowan College no longer mails paper bills. Bills may be viewed online though the Portal account.
  • Students who are waiting for financial aid that is not approved by the payment due date must pay in full or enroll in the payment plan online. If students register after the payment due date and financial aid is not approved, they must pay in full or enroll in the payment plan the day they register.
  • If students registered and will not be attending, they MUST officially drop their classes BEFORE THE SEMESTER BEGINS or they will be held financially responsible.

For more information about online bills, tuition and fees, upcoming payment due dates and more, students may visit the Business Office pages.
