Helping young adults ​with disabilities achieve ​​​their post-secondary goals​

The mission of the Adult Center for Transition (ACT) is to afford young adults with disabilities, the academic, vocational and socialization skills necessary to become independent and contributing members of society.


Available Opportunities​​​​

Program Tracks*:

1. Employment Skills

  • Goal of full-time employment
  • Students will participate in academic classes geared toward content certification
  • 20 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm


2. Fundamentals for College

  • Goal of college course work
  • Students will participate in academic classes to prepare them for college credit classes
  • 10 hours per week, Monday/Wednesday, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm


3. Workforce Readiness

  • Goal of community based employment
  • Students will participate in curriculum focused on basic academic, life and vocational skills
  • 10 hours per week, Tuesday/Thursday, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm


4. Pre-vocational​

  • New Adult Center for Transition facility
  • Goal of increased independence and personal growth
  • 10 hours per week, Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm​
  • Student will participate in curriculum focused on life and pre-vocational skills


Additional Information

  • Tuition rates vary based on track selection. Financial assistance may be available on an as needed basis​
  • Transportation is the responsibility of student and families
  • 6 week summer program available
