Mission:
The Adult Center for Transition (ACT) is a post-secondary experience that prepares young adults with disabilities to become independent, contributing members of society. By focusing on student goals and strengths, ACT provides targeted academic, social and vocational education to prepare each graduate for tomorrow's competitive workforce.
Overall ACT Program Objectives:

- Self-Advocacy & Self Determination
- Access Community Resources
Fundamentals of College
Students will leave this 2-year program with:
- A Career Pathway
- Workplace Experience
- Preparation for College Placement Test
- One 3 Credit College Course Subsidized by RCGC
- Preparation for Accessing College Resources
Workforce Readiness
Students will leave this 2-year program with:
- A Career Pathway
- A Career Ready Portfolio
- A Credential/Certification that matches their career goal*
- Workplace Experience
*Credential/Certification are on an individual basis per student interest/goal
ACT / Employment First
All ACT Students enrolled in Workforce Readiness and Fundamentals of College will participate in the Employment First program. Students will leave this 2-year program with:
- Job Sampling Experiences
- Job Shadowing Experiences
- Reverse Job Fair Experience
