Rowan College at Gloucester County requires all newly-admitted students to take the college placement test. All
first-time, full-time students are required to take this exam after admission to RCGC but prior to registering for classes.
This exam helps place students in classes based on their current ability levels in reading, writing and mathematics.
Part-time students may delay taking the placement test until reaching the 12th credit, but there are several limitations
on those who elect to postpone taking this exam. Part-time students may not enroll in either college-level mathematics
or English classes before taking the placement exam.
Students may be eligible for an exemption from the test based on their SAT scores. Contact the Office of Enrollment Services at 856-415-2209 for more information.
