Free & Grant-Funded Training

​Rowan College at Gloucester County supports the South Jersey economy by supplying a number of workforce development programs at no cost to area businesses. All classes are free thanks to grant funding awarded by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) and New Jersey Council of Community Colleges (NJCCC). 


Training Options

  • Mathematics and Computation
  • Verbal and Reading Comprehension
  • Writing Arts
  • English as a Second Language (Levels I and II)
  • Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) 


Eligibility Requirements

To elect training options, an employer's workforce must:

  • Work at least 20 hours per week
  • Be paid at their usual hourly rate while in training
  • Provide Social Security or employee numbers
  • Provide employee FEIN numbers
  • Enroll a minimum of 10 employees
